![]() ![]() Spiritual things are not perceived by natural man with his natural sight. Though we may acknowledge the possibility that are eyes can be deceived we generally hold fast to the idea that “seeing is believing”. The impression of knowing we get from perceiving is quite compelling. The greater the amount of light the more we will be able to tell about the object we are seeing. Through sight we can perceive the existence of an object and come to know something about its characteristics. Our brains can interpret the signal and it produces a knowing or perceiving in our consciousness. Our eyes see the reflected light and sends a signal to our brains. When we see something in the natural it is a result of light shining on an object. Spiritual sight is compared to physical sight because the results are the same for each. We are not just talking about our minds eye or our imagination although that can be a part of spiritual sight. Spiritual sight – What do we mean when we are talking about spiritual sight? We are not talking about the use of the physical eye although what we behold with our natural eyes can effect what we see with our spiritual eyes.To perceive by mental vision, to form an idea or conception of, to note with the mind.To have knowledge of the existence of and apparent qualities of the object beheld. To observe with the eyes while keeping them directed. To direct your eyes for the purpose of seeing something. We will only see whatever it is that we are looking for Or you are not looking with a repentant heart of faith. (Heb 11:6 Deut 4:29) If you can’t see God it is because you are not looking.(Eph 1:15-19) Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him.(Acts 26:15-18) Called to open the eyes of the lost.(John 3:3) Unless one is born again he can not see the kingdom of God.There are many scriptures that talk about spiritual sight. If you could see your place there among the heavenly beings what hold would this world have on us? But if you could get even a faint glimpse of New Jerusalem and the King who sits upon the throne of that city. ![]() If you can’t see Him who is invisible you will never forsake the world like Moses did. (Heb 11:24-27) I’ve heard young people say, “How can you expect me to believe in something I can’ see but Hebrews 11: 24-27 says that Moses endured as seeing Him who is invisible. It means that faith is not limited to physical sight. The Bible says to walk by faith and not by sight, but this does not mean that faith is blind. Real faith is when we trust in what we see by the spirit. (2 Cor 5:7) I hear many talking about blind faith, but real faith is not blind. ![]()
